The lake served as a location in 2011’s Bassmaster Classic XLI. Vernon Lake

Valentine Lake is found inside Kisatchie National Forest and has the prime conditions needed to make some of the biggest bass you can find throughout all of Louisiana. Largemouth bass feast in this artificial fish habitat. Recently, a 15.8 pound beast was fished from the lake, making it the runner-up for the state’s largest largemouth bass.
